Ladies and gents of St. Louis (and all over the world), The A-Train would like to introduce a young lady who is a very talented sports media personality on the rise…AND SHE’S NOT EVEN FROM THE US OF A…but she hopes to one day to dominate over your American TV screens with her charm and voice, she is none other than Canada’s daughter in the sports world…Nadine Liverpool.

A-TRAIN: How you doing today, Nadine?

NADINE: I’m doing good thanks.

A-TRAIN: From what I have seen, you have an impressive resume already in just 3 years, and dammit, not going to lie, you are an attractive female.

NADINE: Aw, shucks.

A-TRAIN: Not trying to flirt with you, I hope you understand.

NADINE: Yea we gotta keep it professioNAAL.

A-TRAIN: Exactly. As long as you know. Let’s move to the questions: What made you want to get in this business?

NADINE: Well, I’ve played soccer my whole life growing up and was actually pretty good. I played on the Canadian national team in high school and then got a soccer scholarship to play at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (Go Blazers!) The thought of doing beep tests for the rest of my life scared the sh*t out of me, so I decided to stop playing soccer and pursue another path. I moved back to my hometown of Toronto and my plan was to save up for a year and then move back to the States and get my masters in sports management but a lot of people were like, “You should pursue sports broadcasting.” I guess people think I’m bubbly or what not. So I ended up taking a post-graduate sports journalism program in Toronto and fell in love with it. I always used to watch Hannah Storm on NBA Inside Stuff or Robin Roberts anchoring Sportscenter when I was a young lad and think, “Wow, they have the coolest job.” But the thing was I had no idea how to pursue it and this was my chance so I went for it and haven’t looked back.

I then created my own YouTube channel called SportsNAYtion, where I talk about the sports topic of the day. I guess you can call me a sports vlogger. It started to get a lot of attraction and the channel has grown a lot. Besides that, I also host, report, do play-by-play, produce, shoot, edit, a whole of bunch of stuff. You can say I’m the jack-of-all-trades trying to become the master of one.

A-TRAIN: Yep, I can actually say that you are. But knowing who I am, I have to ask you this… Who are you blaming for what is going on with the NFL? The refs? The fans? Roger Goodell?

NADINE: Roger Goodell hands down. The NFL is a billion dollar industry and it’s ruining the integrity of the game to have these incompetent referees on the field. And over what? Some chump change? It’s not fair to the teams, the players, and especially the fans.

A-TRAIN: Sooooo…..Would you rather be watching the CFL or better yet…college football?

NADINE: The CFL? What’s that? Lol No just kidding I know what the CFL is but three-down football is not my cup of tea. I watch NCAA football every week. Alabama is going undefeated this year. Member you heard it here first.

A-TRAIN: Duly noted. I’ll remember to mark this on my calendar. So, is the NFL hurting your fantasy football team?

NADINE: I’m in three leagues right now and I’m doing good in 2. My third one is a 20-team league and if you don’t draft well, you’re pretty much screwed. And lucky me, I have Fred Jackson and Aaron Hernandez who are both injured, so I’m taking constant L’s.

A-TRAIN: Damn. Are you saddened that there is a work stoppage in the NHL…again? Stating that you are Canadian and you love hockey, right? Or am I making assumptions?

NADINE: I like to call myself an Anti-Canadian sports fan. Meaning I’m not a big fan of hockey or baseball. Basketball-Football-Soccer. That’s all me. So quite frankly, the NHL could go on strike for 10 years and I wouldn’t really care.

A-TRAIN: Hmmm interesting. Let’s move away from that for a sec, so if you were not covering sports like you are now…what would you be doing?

NADINE: I would probably be working for a women empowerment non-profit organization. I’m really big on females having their own voice and paving their own path and I would want to help conduct events to teach ladies how to find their inner Beyonce. (Who run the world? Girls!)

A-TRAIN: You are about to make me bring out my inner James Brown. Because (singing) THIS IS A MAN’S WORLD! I’m sorry I forgot I was doing an interview. (Clears throat) So, ummm your best sports interview?

NADINE: It would have to be with Deion Sanders. He was a guest on a radio show I used to host and he was just so much fun, had so much energy. I idolized him when I was a kid, so the opportunity to interview him about making the Hall of Fame was pretty surreal.

A-TRAIN: What or who would be your ultimate interview?

NADINE: KOBE BRYANT. He’s my future ex-husband, you didn’t know? LOL

A-TRAIN: Ummm no I didn’t.

NADINE: My friends always tell me I’m a Kobe groupie like it’s a bad thing.

A-TRAIN: It is a bad thing, LOL. Just kidding.

NADINE: But yea Kobe Bryant, hands down.

A-TRAIN: From your resume, you have worked with The Bottom Line Sports Show, what was your best experience from that?

NADINE: I got to interview some pretty high-profiled athletes like Maurice Jones-Drew, Dwight Howard, Deion Sanders like I mentioned before plus more. The best experience was just to be able to be me and be the female voice on the show. It was a great opportunity to represent and show that ladies know their sports too.

A-TRAIN: I see that you are a huge soccer fan. By the way, I have seen some pics of you in uniform (Looks around) Promise you, I’m not stalking you.

NADINE: Hmm mmm. I swear it was you that liked 25 of my pics the other day Lol

A-TRAIN: (spits out drink and laughs) Ummm, any World Cups in your future?

NADINE: Every World Cup I say I’m going and I never make it. It would be my dream to be able to go and report on it. Who wants to start a donation pot so I can go to Brazil 2014?

A-TRAIN: I can’t. I would love to go though. NBA season is just around the corner…any early predictions?

NADINE: Lakers all day every day, even on Sunday. LA-MIA final with the Lakers winning in 6. The black mamba wins Finals MVP and let the ‘Is Kobe better than MJ’ debates begin!

A-TRAIN: Lord, that better not happen. Favorite sports teams? You know I have to ask.

NADINE: like all the teams that everyone hates. Lakers, Patriots, Duke, Alabama Crimson Tide, Liverpool FC. Their god-awful but I also root for my local teams like the Raptors, Toronto FC, Leafs, Jays, etc. And can’t forget my Blazers!

A-TRAIN: You not making this easy for me especially all the teams that people hate. SMH Just kidding. Favorite athletes?

NADINE: Kobe Bryant, Steven Gerrard, Tom Brady, Derek Jeter, and Charmaine Hooper.

A-TRAIN: Alright…before you go, let’s step outside the box. You ready?

NADINE: Born ready.

A-TRAIN: Top 5 songs you listening to right now.

NADINE: My Top 5 is pretty much anything Meek Mill and I’ll throw in Rich Forever by Rick Ross.

A-TRAIN: That’s not 5 but I’ll take it…the 5 TV shows you watching.

NADINE: Well, all the fall premieres are starting up and I’m excited for that. My list would go 1. Scandal 2. Dexter 3. The Newsroom (First season just ended) 4. Family Guy 5. Seinfeld (Can’t go wrong with a classic)

A-TRAIN: Now that’s a top 5. (laughs) Alright, Nadine…I know you are a busy lady and you have a lot going. Where can we find you?

NADINE: Youtube.com/SportsNAYtion. Subscribe! And you can follow me on twitter @SportsNAYtion and LIKE my Facebook fan page (facebook.com/sportsnaytion) For any bookings or inquiries; peeps can email me at Nadine.liverpool@gmail.com. A-TRAIN: Any shoutouts to give?

NADINE: Shoutouts to you for having this dope interview with me.

A-TRAIN: Awwwww. You trying to make a man blush. Don’t do that. (clears throat) Well, thanks for your time, Nadine. Definitely will give you the support. Once I get my show back, you’re on as a guest. Cool?

NADINE: Oh for sure.

A-TRAIN: That’s Nadine Liverpool from SportsNayTion and Sportsnet. The A-Train signing off.

THE A-TRAIN RANT 3.0!!

It’s time for another great rant coming from the A-Train…you should love this one. Here we go.

  1. Josh Morgan…you are “The A-Train Rant” DUMMY OF THE WEEK, WEEK, WEEK! Hope and pray that Mike Shanahan give you the pink slip and tell you, “Today is your last day as a Redskin, please turn in your playbook.”
  2. Speaking of football, good win for the Jeff Fisher and the St. Louis Rams. Got that first win and RGIII took his first loss, also means that you shut up John Madden…at least for this week.
  3. Andrew Luck is a beast? Too soon???
  4. Good Sunday to have Cardinals at the end of it. The St. Louis baseball team beat the Dodgers keep a one game lead for the second wild card spot (may have meaning after all). Shoutout to the Arizona football team (too young to really remember the team being in St. Louis), going into Foxboro and knocking off the New England Patriots in their home opener. 1st time any team has beaten the Pats on their home field for their opener. Tom Brady still wondering, “We lost to Arizona? In our home opener?” Yeah, Tom. You did.
  5. Mizzou will be get the tar and feathers beaten off them for the next two weeks. They are about to learn what the SEC really feels like.
  6. Speaking of the SEC, one of those teams will be in the national championship, again. If not careful…it’s LSU/Bama part 2. People will hate that for life! I for one, would love it all over again. Just keep showing how flawed the NCAA system really is.
  7. After watching Peyton Manning against the Falcons, (BOLD STATEMENT TO MAKE) I think Eli Manning will be better than his brother. At least he’s got one thing on Peyton…more Super Bowls.
  8. The New Orleans Saints need some serious help. But thanks Roger, you screwed up not only them but the NFL as well with your patty cake approach to protect your precious golden-arm quarterbacks. In the illustrious words of Tia and Tamera, “GO HOME ROGER!” I know it was bad. So what!
  9. Back to the NFL, these replacement refs have got to go. I tried to support them last time and now I can’ t take it anymore. I think it was FoxSports.com columnist Jason Whitlock that said on Twitter…”the refs don’t understand the NFL philosophy.”
  10. LA Lakers center Dwight Howard had stated through “a source” on ESPN.com that he never wanted to be hated…Brother, that’s all you did was cause hate. People will hate you regardless. If you are successful or better yet, just because you are black. Yeah I said it. The race card still plays in this world that you and I live in. It’s sad, but true.
  11. Speaking of LA Lakers, Ron Artest (I refuse to call him Metta World Peace) said that he believes the Lakers can go 73-9. Hey Ron, why don’t you just say 82-0? I mean you got the right coach to do it, right? You got Phil…eh…Mike Brown to do it. Plus all those injury-plagued players on your team like Pau Gasol and hell, even Kobe Bryant. What other bums, I mean players do they have…well there is Steve Blake, Jordan Hill, and my favorites Dwight Howard and Steve Nash. Looks like you got all the right pieces in place. All you have to do now is get past the Spurs and Thunder and the Miami Heat (paper champs) and you’re in. Well, that was a good dream to not see unfold. I know we have a season coming up but that damn sure won’t happen. Sorry Laker fans. Keep dreaming!
  12. Oh yes…this is a must. After watching Night of Champions I have come to the conclusion that the WWE wants CM Punk to fight The Rock at Wrestlemania. Just to give this idiot the main event he deserves. Otherwise, he’ll lose the belt at Hell In A Cell. (SIDEBAR NOTE) Good to know that Jerry Lawler is OK and released from the hospital. It would have been a sad day if it was more severe. Now lay off the ropes and just commentate.

ONE LAST THING…SHOUTOUT TO MY HOMEY Twillie Cottingham celebrating a birthday today! Make sure you follow her @MissESPN34…fellas, if  you looking for a lady who knows her sports…she’s one of them. Die-hard fan! (She’s going to hurt me for this)

I’m done. More to come soon. Hopefully a radio show soon. Stay tuned.

Please post your comments below. Greatly appreciate it. Bad comments (that will depend on how I feel) will get the boot.

AS A WINNER…LEBRON STILL LOSES

Posted in Basketball, Sports with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 22, 2012 by A-Train

The Miami Heat knocked off the Oklahoma City Thunder in 5 games to win their 2nd NBA title, the topic will always go around one man…LeBron James. LeBrick, who I love to call, played much better than he did in last year’s Finals. The primary purpose for this is to shut up his critics. Well…I got news for him. THEY WON’T and I WON’T! As a matter of fact, winning this “tainted” title (don’t thank me, thank the “god of basketball” David Stern), he still loses. LeBron haters will remain “the king” and not him. While Heat and LeBron fans will celebrate the title and proceed to try and shut up every hater. Some friendships will end when this happens. Just saying.

Switching to something every LeBron fan dislikes hearing…

THE DECISION: YES I’M STILL ON THIS!! I will not get over that. So what! You will live just like I will. Sorry. But for this man to be the BEST player in the NBA, he surely came off cocky for that ESPN program. People, understand why I’m upset at LeBron for this. LeBron and his agents (mostly his friends) milked the idea of putting together a one-hour special on ESPN just for 2 seconds of announcing his decision to play for the Miami Heat and run away from the Cleveland Cavaliers because he felt that he wasn’t going to get anywhere with them. FOR WHAT? That sounds like pure cockiness coming from an athlete. Now you know without shadow of a doubt this could have been handled much differently. YOU KNOW THAT! He didn’t need the ESPN cameras, he didn’t need Jim Gray, he didn’t need Mike Wilbon and whatever ESPN analysts to ANALYZE this decision. It wasn’t needed. I lost a lot of respect for this guy. POINT BLANK

He won a title…with an asterisk. The same way, the San Antonio Spurs did back in that shortened 1999 season. Look who they played in the Finals. They played an 8th seeded New York Knicks team with “I’ll Choke Your Coach” Latrell Sprewell, Larry Johnson and Allan Houston. I still wondered how they got there after beating the #1 seed, (the pre-LeBron) Miami Heat. But I respect them now because of them winning back in 2003, playing in an 82-game season.

Now, why did I see with asterisk? Oh, the A-Train is on something? He needs help. He needs to lay off the meds.

No, that’s not the case at all. This could lead to another thing but. LeBron played a 66-game schedule and won a title. Last season, played in an 82-game season and lost in the championship. So, it takes for him to play shortened seasons and win titles? It looks like it. In his 9 seasons, only this season he won a title.

WELL, THAT’S NOT FAIR. Sure it is. In his first 8 seasons, he has played in 82-game seasons and has come up short. Even last year, when he practically had the same team. LeBRON WAS DIFFERENT LAST SEASON. He wasn’t any different this season, just put up more statistics. There was nothing impressive about LeBron. He didn’t take over the last 2 minutes of a game like he’s supposed to do. HE DOESN’T HAVE TO DO THAT WITH THIS TEAM. But this is LeBron’s team now, right? Dwyane Wade has given it up.  Critical moments during these 2012 playoffs, he hasn’t shown up. Sorry.

However he did get some help from the black and white. Something about referees and their ways of calling games just boggles my mind. From Tim Donaghy’s nutty scandal some years ago to the old refs like Danny Crawford, Dick Bavetta, and Joey Crawford. The game that once was a game has now been tarnished. Once again, I thank the “god of basketball” David Stern.

Once last thing…stop with the comparisons of Michael with LeBron. They don’t match. MJ still is the GOAT. MJ won 6 titles and didn’t lose a single one of them. LeBron has been in 3 Finals and won 1. Tough luck for the kid. You not Jordan, never will be. Greater than he, forget it. HAPPY FAKE TITLE TO YOU, LEBRON! IT’S WELL DESERVED!

The Heat Dominates The Thunder

Posted in Basketball, Sports with tags , , , , , , , , on June 20, 2012 by gybyrd

I will not elaborate so much on Miami Heat win in game 4, although Miami Heat is one game away of claiming the NBA Championship!  Oklahoma Thunder played a magnificent 1st qtr of game 4, defense was there, and the offense was there from everybody. OKC came out strong and played as hard as they could. This was their game to win, they needed this to be a 2-2 series, but now they are down 3 games to 1. I watched this game with my heartbeat racing as if it was me on that court last night.  I felt the pace of the game and I felt every bump from each foul, I felt the frustration and the urgency to win. Unfortunately, despite Russell Westbrook’s 43 points, Harden’s 10 rebounds and Durant’s 28 points, it wasn’t in the cards for them to win.  Lebron James and his “whole” team came through last night! Chalmers may have played the best game of his career with 25 points.  Last night proved that no matter how good OKC is, Durant and Westbrook cannot and will not win the championship alone. D. Fisher needs to produce a few hot 3’s he is famous for and K. Perkins will need to sit his attitude on the bench and dominate the paint, it is evident that OKC needs him. OKC may squeeze out one more win, but this series is in favor of the Miami Heat, but I will be cheering OKC, all the way.

Gyb…THE ROOKIE!

The Fight Begins, OKC vs MIA

Posted in Basketball, Sports with tags , , , , , , , , on June 12, 2012 by gybyrd

Although some NBA commentators and Sports Illustrated writers have predicted that the Oklahoma City Thunder will win the 2012 NBA finals… the world thinks different!  The majority is rolling with the Big 3 Miami Heat.  I am standing solid with OKC, since the CHI Bulls were thrown out long time ago. OKC plays as a team and there is more cohesiveness there than what Miami has.  If Miami is expecting to win this series, they are going to need for Dwyane Wade to step up and really be the leader of this team.  The Heat need to take control of the ball and play together as a team. Although Lebron James will put up the points needed, everyone will need to bring their A game every night. Regardless of what happens, I predict that Miami Heat’s head coach, Erik Spoelstra will be dismissed.

Lets get ready to ruuuummble!!!!

Game 1 – Miami 94 Oklahoma City 105 – Thunder lead series 1-0

Game 2 – Miami 100 Oklahoma City 96 – Series tied 1-1

Game 3 – Oklahoma City 85 vs. Miami 91 – Heat lead series 2-1

Game 4 – Oklahoma City vs. Miami – Tuesday, June 19, 9:00 PM ET, ABC

*Game 5 – Oklahoma City vs. Miami – Thursday, June 21, 9:00 PM ET, ABC

*Game 6 – Miami vs. Oklahoma City – Sunday, June 24, 8:00 PM ET, ABC

*Game 7 – Miami vs. Oklahoma City – Tuesday, June 26, 9:00 PM ET, ABC

The Tainted Title…Thanks Mr. Stern

Posted in Basketball, Sports with tags , , , , , , on June 11, 2012 by A-Train

66 games. 2 teams. 1 championship. I see you looked at the title and are literally saying things like “What the hell?” or “He can’t be serious.” Something that will make you either stop reading or get mad as you read this. But the last time I checked, the full season was 82 games. Oh yeah, I forgot. Thanks to a lockout, the season was shortened by “the god of basketball” David Stern and Oklahoma City (formerly LA Lakers) point guard Derek Fisher. If you didn’t know, Fisher is the president of the Players’ Association. Yet, somehow he’s in the Finals…conspiracies??? Another time for that conversation.

But anyways,  here we are at the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and the Seattle Sonics aka Oklahoma City Thunder, which begin on Tuesday night at 9PM EST on your ABC affiliate. To many, this is going to be as good of a series since the Lakers/Celtics matchups of 2008 and 2010. The media (especially ESPN) are hyping this series as LeBron vs. Durant.

Why do I call this a “tainted title?”

I call it that because 1) 66 games for the regular season, it hurt a lot of teams and their postseason runs. 2) The scheduling. No way in the world that Stern thought playing 5-6 games a week would help the athletes do well on their respective teams. Some of them weren’t used to that. Many star players like Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard both have significant injuries and can’t even participate for the Olympic team in London. Those are two key losses to a team that just got back to prominence after winning the gold back in 2008 in Beijing. 3) Terrible officiating. Oh my Lord. I bet anyone on here that reads this can name the sorry officials from each game that made you throw something or even cuss at the TV. The way they put this season together made it seem like they went and got high school officials to call these games. I mean this was absurd and just plain ridiculous. It was like Stern meant to put those guys out there to get this outcome that we are at now. The NBA Finals. I almost swear this was a complete set-up from the jump.  4) Money. There shouldn’t be anything said after that. But that is what this whole thing was all about. Like any other sport, money is the key to having a season. This season was almost lost in its entirety. Stern and his staff had to rush through and put together which is what was supposed to be an “effective” season. All Stern thought about was those advertising dollars, the under the table deals (don’t act like there weren’t any), the TV contracts, the attendance for the respective games and IMHO nothing about the players’ themselves. Even though the players’ were just looking for their piece of the pie. While we get mad at them about their egos’ and all, they still go out and play every night. Am I ok? Am I really defending the players? The ones that tick me off so bad that they should play overseas somewhere and not in the States. I’m defending players like Carlos Boozer, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant…the names I can’t stand?? Really? Yeah I am. Because at the same time, they get a check cut every two weeks like you and I (the ones that have jobs).

My point is: This is not the real 82-game season, just like San Antonio back in ’99 which wasn’t a real title win with the 50-game season. Look who they played against in the Finals…the 8th seeded New York Knicks…with “I’ll choke my coach because I don’t like what he tells me” Latrell Sprewell on (LITERALLY) “Grandmama” Larry Johnson. So what about their banner sticking up in the AT&T Center being a title team. That season was a joke from start to finish. Just like that game on Showtime which was called “The Game on Showtime” where it featured 10 NBA players playing in Vegas for charity. I might as well just had that and didn’t need the season. The reason why all of this was going down…again MONEY!

Anyways, the match-up is great honestly (even though I still think it’s a set-up), these two teams do have effective teams that (believe it or not) provide championship experience from both sides. The Thunder are definitely young and Durant should enjoy this series win or lose. The Heat however are under a microscope…if they lose, they might as well dismantle that team. I want to see that happen, so bad. OKC’s legs should be fresher than the Heat’s after their 7 game affair with Boston. But maybe it was a blessing for those teams. This is what the fans have been really waiting for which is the top 2 players in the league right now going head-to-head for that picture, aka the Larry O’Brien trophy.

All from the destructive mind of David Stern. Thanks Mr. Stern for destroying the league that you have built up. You wonder why most sports fans wait for football season to come around. You’re an imbecile and an idiot. But I still will watch your sport till there is no more.

C’MON BOSTON…GROW UP!!

Posted in Sports with tags , , , , , on June 9, 2012 by A-Train

I know I’m not a big fan of LeBron…BUT fans throwing beer on him, after your team got their butts handed to them by the Heat, is clearly unacceptable. That is so stupid, dumb and if you look at the video, the police officer could see the beer being thrown; so whoever did that should never go to an NBA game ever again. Then again, if the police officer is from Boston they probably would let that slide…just crookedness all around. I hope not. Those idiots need to be thrown in jail. GROW UP CELTICS FANS…YOU’RE BETTER THAN THAT! UPDATE: The video was removed by the user.

Boston’s Big 3 vs. Miami’s Big 3

Posted in Sports with tags , , , , , , , , , , on June 9, 2012 by A-Train

So I’m up this morning and I see an intriguing video piece from a friend on Facebook and it showed the differences between the introductions of the Celtics Big 3 and the Heat’s Big 3. It’s a huge difference…It’s pretty much old school vs. the new school. It’s basically the 1990s vs the early 2000s. That’s hard to believe but it’s the truth. No pun intended for Paul Pierce. Only thing I need to see is the real press conference of the Heat. Don’t get me wrong this video speaks volumes between the two franchises. Meaning mostly LeBron’s comments about the title run for the Heat. So far, LeBron is 0-2 in the NBA Finals. But…these franchises are headed in different directions.  I understand that this is season 2 for Miami, and Boston is in season 5 which means that one franchise is going up and the other is falling from grace fast. So far (as of this post and date) Boston is ahead in titles between Big 3s, 1-0. Will that stand? After Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals…you will get your answer. So what’s the real difference? Penny for YOUR thoughts.

The LeBron Files

The LeBron Files

So instead of my usual NBA 2K12 fix that I usually do after watching a playoff game, I said I’ll just get on my computer and start typing. So, I witnessed a beatdown last night. Am I surprised? Yes I am. I’ll admit it because I really didn’t think the Boston Celtics would clearly NOT show up on their own home floor. I mean DAMN! That’s the reaction that came out. It was over from start to finish. The Heat showed up…well at least the topic of this post did last night with 45 points and sent this series to the most ever popular words known to a man that’s into sports…GAME 7. Yeah it’s coming up Saturday night and that ticks me off because now I’m torn between two events to watch.

But back to the topic at hand.

If you can see the picture above, you can see that this is clearly a picture of Michael and Scottie…and the statements that were made about LeBron. Yeah it’s hilarious because of the silly things that Scottie said. If you remember, Scottie said that LeBron was better than Michael. Take it for what you will but…THAT DUDE WAS NUTS! But anyways…the purpose of this post is to dig in to: THE LEBRON FILES!!!

So I went to do some digging on LeBron and YES, I DISLIKE LEBRICK!! You want to know why? I’ll tell you. Many people have disagreed with this and that’s fine. Go back to the Summer of 2010 with this whole free agency frenzy and LeBron choosing that he was going to the Heat. That’s good. The not so good of making that choice was the whole TV deal from ESPN to do this decision. I said, “WHO IN THE HELL DO HE THINK HE IS?” This decision he was making on national TV would be for charity (I think it was downplayed to cover up himself), what I wanted to get across was…why? That wasn’t needed. Just say I’m going to the Heat and that would be that. I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST CHARITY! REMEMBER THAT PLEASE! But the NBA and ESPN decided to milk in the ratings and cash to get this 1-hour spectacle that was just 1 minute. You lose my respect for that kind of stupidity.  Sorry.

Moving on.

Consider the fact that this is only the 3rd Game 7 he’s ever played in and both times…he lost. Yes, I understand it was with Cleveland but the fact of the matter is…HE’S STILL BEEN THERE. This is his 1st as a member of the Heat and I really think history will repeat himself and he’ll go to 0-3. Even if the Heat get past the Celtic green. They won’t get past the Thunder even though it will really have the clear emphasis of “Must See TV.” With that said, LeBron having an outcome like he did on Thursday showcased that (in my opinion) he won’t have another “beast mode” game like that…at least not at the conclusion of this series. It’s funny because in that game he missed 4 free throws which is something you would think an athlete like him would work on. So the game plan for Boston should be to put him on the line at critical points during the game, mostly the 4th quarter, where he has disappeared numerous times in his playoff career, mostly during his time in Cleveland. I will never forget last year’s NBA Finals. He actually had to have Dwyane Wade literally go off on him and tell him that he needed to step up. THAT’S NOT A SUPERSTAR! That means you are a wingman. Why am I dwelling on the past because…you saw it, right? Time and time again, this guy has no clutch abilities. Even in his beast mode of a game, that was called domination not clutch as Mike Breen of ESPN referred it to. By the way, Mike Breen is a joke as well. It’s sad that I have to hear his voice for the Finals. Give me Kevin Harlan or Marv Albert than that clown. His commentary is worse than his play-by-play. That’s beside the point but the “King” (he really needs to check himself with that name) is a fraud. Here is the “world’s greatest athlete” and he has no clutch abilities to his name. Being passive in a game doesn’t really get you anywhere. To gain some respect you got to do some aggressive things. Not on a one-time showcase like Thursday night but consistently. Right now he’s #2 and shouldn’t have been the MVP of the league, that should have went to Durant (GUNSHOTS GONE OFF). I think the Heat would have been fine if James was not on the court. Just fine. Another thing, I have no idea what world Mr. Wade is living in. If it wasn’t for that the 3rd quarter spurt, one would think he was trying to throw the series. Must be that Gabrielle Union…I don’t know.

Oh yes…I don’t give two spits about what ESPN said about LeBron having more Finals appearances than Michael Jordan did at age 27. Understand THIS situation at hand, Michael didn’t jump in the league until he was 21, LeBron at 18. Ok you still want to believe in LeBron? Michael Jordan won a championship on his very first try. LeBron is 0-2 in the Finals, and Michael never lost a Finals. Chew on that. GOOD DAY!
